Posture Guardian Privacy Policy
Yichuan DENG develops Posture Guardian, an Apple Watch app for personal wrist-posture reminders. This policy explains how the app, support correspondence, and this website handle information.
1. Motion data and its purpose
The app uses Core Motion sensor readings, including wrist orientation, acceleration, and rotation, to train and match your personal posture model on Apple Watch. Raw readings are processed on the device and are not uploaded to the developer or third parties. The app does not use HealthKit or read your phone screen, active apps, or Screen Time.
2. Local storage and retention
Personal posture models, reminder feedback, preferences, session and continuation summaries, and diagnostic summaries are stored in the app’s local storage on Apple Watch. They support posture matching, reminders, personal adjustments, and troubleshooting. Stored information remains until replaced by app operation, cleared where a control is available, or removed with the app. The app does not implement its own cloud sync; device backups and restoration are controlled by Apple and your system settings.
3. App data collection and sharing
The app requires no account and does not send motion readings, models, feedback, settings, or diagnostics to the developer. It contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites. The developer does not sell app data or share it for advertising.
4. Permissions and choices
Motion & Fitness access is used for posture training and recognition. Notification access is used for local reminders. You can manage these permissions in the relevant Apple Watch or paired iPhone system settings. Denying permissions may prevent training or monitoring from starting, or prevent notifications. You can stop monitoring in the app.
5. Deleting local data
When monitoring and training are stopped, use Clear Personal Model and confirm Clear to remove stored posture models and feedback contained in those models. This does not clear preferences, session summaries, or diagnostic summaries. Deleting the app from Apple Watch removes its local app data. Data included in system backups may remain subject to Apple’s backup and restoration controls.
6. Support email
If you email 412349186@qq.com, the developer receives your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. They are used to respond to you and resolve your request, not for advertising. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. Correspondence is processed by email service providers and kept only as needed to handle the request and necessary follow-up, or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion by emailing the same address; information that must legally be retained may be excluded.
7. Website hosting
The public privacy and support pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes, including visits without signing in. 8. Children
The app does not transmit children’s personal information to the developer. If a child sends personal information through support email, a parent or guardian can contact the developer to request its deletion, subject to applicable legal requirements.
9. General habit reminder
Posture Guardian is a general habit-reminder tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional health advice. Matching a wrist posture cannot establish whether you are lying on your side or using a phone.
10. Policy updates
Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. The app includes an offline copy of the policy applicable to that app version; a newer website policy may describe later versions. Material changes to data handling will be explained when introduced.
